A generous grant from EMC Corporation is helping Worcester Public Schools implement Engineering is Elementary. On August 9, 2016, 10 teachers from six elementary schools attended a professional development workshop; each teacher also received a complete set of curriculum materials. “EiE aligns very nicely with Massachusetts state standards for Science and Technology/Engineering,” says Kathy Berube, Worcester's science and engineering liaison. 

This past summer, for the first time ever, hands-on engineering was part of New York City’s summer school programs. Thousands of students boosted their STEM skills (and their understanding of what it’s like to be an engineer) by learning with Engineering is Elementary’s out-of-school-time (OST) curricula, Engineering Adventures and Engineering Everywhere.
