Happy spring! The days are longer, the weather is warmer, and engineering ideas are blooming in afterschool classrooms across the country. This issue of the Afterschool Engineering Update contains an exciting announcement of a brand new Engineering Adventures unit, news about funding from NASA for new space-themed units, as well as useful tips and links to resources.

New Engineering Adventures Unit Challenges Students to Become Acoustical Engineers

Space-themed Afterschool Modules Will Feature NASA Science
Engineering is Elementary's curriculum developers will collaborate on a project that aims to bring new space-themed STEM resources to afterschool programs nationwide. Supported by NASA’s Science Mission Directorate and led by Northern Arizona University’s Center for Science Teaching and Learning (CSTL), the $3.4 million project is called PLANETS (Planetary Learning that Advances the Nexus of Engineering, Technology, and Science).
